Tokyo Beast, a cyberpunk-themed blockchain role-playing game built on Immutable zkEVM, will cease operations on August 24. The shutdown comes just 45 days after its launch, with producer Naoki Motohashi citing unsustainable operational costs and lackluster revenue as primary reasons.
Refunds for NFTs and in-game assets will be issued in USDC. While Tokyo Beast folds, its parent ecosystem, TOKYO GAMES, continues to operate and develop new projects.
